HBI Helps Youthbuild Grads Start Construction Careers

Superintendent Course Premiering at Concrete Technologies Tour

Home Builders Institute (HBI), the workforce development arm of NAHB, recently partnered with NAHB’s Concrete Home Building Council (CHBC) to create a Concrete Specialization curriculum geared to field superintendents.

The four courses developed for the curriculum are scheduled to be launched nationwide this summer. The four-hour “Concrete Mix Designs, Construction Guidelines and Troubleshooting” will be featured at the CHBC-sponsored 2006 Concrete Technologies Tour, June 11-13 in Phoenix.

HBI and council modeled the courses after HBI’s Residential Construction Superintendent (RCS) Designation curriculum, which emphasizes topics identified by NAHB members as important to a field supervisory position.

For more information on HBI’s course offerings, e-mail Joseph Krinock, or call him at 800-295-7955 x8928.
