New Hotline Provides Technical Assistance to NAHB Members
A new Technical Assist Hotline can put members of NAHB in touch with the staff of the NAHB Research Center for help with hands-on construction issues.
Designed primarily to assist builders, remodelers and trade contractors, but also of possible interest to associates, the hotline can provide answers to day-to-day technical questions about building products, techniques, technologies and best practices.
Members can call 888-NAHB-MEM (888-624-2636) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, or e-mail techassist@nahbrc.org to submit their questions, which will be answered by the next business day.
Callers to the hotline will be asked to provide the details of their question, along with contact information. This will then be routed to the appropriate technical expert, who will research the question and then return a response directly to the member.
Urgent questions will be given special priority and answered more quickly, if possible.
Additionally, it is possible for local home builders associations to enable their members to send questions directly to the Technical Assist Hotline from their Web site.
For more information, e-mail Shawn Martin at the Research Center, or call 301-430-6219.
