NAHB Past Presidents/National Housing Endowment Matching Funds Program

The National Housing Endowment, the Home Builders Institute and the NAHB Past Presidents Council are proud to announce a new program for NAHB's student members. The NAHB Past Presidents/National Housing Endowment Matching Funds Program provides monetary grants to NAHB Student Chapter member schools through state and local Home Builders Associations (HBAs).

Since its inception, NAHB has supported construction education by reaching out to students across the country. Building upon the proud history of the NAHB Past Presidents Scholarship Fund, NAHB, the National Housing Endowment, and the Home Builders Institute continue to find avenues to educate students on the many opportunities a career in construction offers.

Attending the International Builders’ Show (IBS) has proven to be instrumental in helping students learn outside the classroom and prepare for a career in the home building industry. Funds may be used for tuition scholarships, although Home Builders Associations are encouraged to apply for funds to help send students to the International Builders’ Show. Additional scholarship information may be found on www.nationalhousingendowment.com.

Applications will be mailed to all NAHB Student Chapters and HBA Executive Officers in September, and will also be available online at www.hbi.org. Applications must be returned to the Home Builders Institute no later than Friday, October 28, 2005. [ return to top ]
