State and Local Issues Fund Unveils New Process

At the 2009 Spring Board of Directors meeting held in Washington DC, the State & Local Government Affairs Committee introduced a new process for considerating the State & Local Issues Fund Applications.

This new system was developed to make the application process more accessible to a greater number of applicants, and in turn save HBA’s the cost associated with traveling to Board Meetings for the sole sake of making a pitch/presentation to the SLGA Committee.

The application and responsibilities associated with the application will for the most part remain the same.  The main difference is applicants interaction with the committee will now be accomplished over teleconference rather than an in person presentation.

The next deadline for the State and Issues Fund applications is August 1, 2009.
