Staff Changes in NAHB's State & Local Department

Alex Strong has joined NAHB as Manager for State & Local Government Affairs. Formerly a senior policy analyst for the Republican Governors Association and it’s Public Policy Committee, Strong will be responsible for assisting with the management of the association’s initiatives on high-priority issues, and emerging legislative and regulatory issues at the state and local level. Additionally, Strong will be working closely with members, state & local affiliates, NAHB staff, and outside parties on a wide range of industry issues.

Alastair Macaulay, who served as assistant staff vice president and head of the State & Local Political Operations Department, is leaving NAHB. Beginning on April 5 Macaulay will join the North Carolina Home Builders Association as their new director of political affairs.
