  Meet New SLPO Staff
Over the past few months, NAHB has welcomed new State & Local Political Operations (SLPO) staff.  Here is a profile of the new SLPO staff members who are here to serve NAHB members and affiliates: 


Gideon Lett
Director, Political Operations

As Director of Political Operations, Gideon coordinates the development and implementation of political campaign programs at the local, state and federal levels. Previously working extensively with political and public affairs campaigns across the country, Gideon gained experience in strategic development, campaign management, targeting, survey research, voter contact, grassroots organization, communications and get-out-the-vote techniques. Gideon has served as a political advisor to former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), Mississippi State Treasurer Tate Reeves and former Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor, among a host of other candidates and committees. As a public affairs consultant, Gideon worked with Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and international public relations firms to design and implement effective communications and grassroots strategies. Gideon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Samford University and will soon begin graduate studies at Georgetown University. You can reach Gideon at 800-368-5242 x8585.


Molly Murray
Director, Grassroots

Molly received a Bachelors of Science in Geography at the University of Iowa before moving to Washington, D.C. to work on the United States Senate Agriculture Nutrition and Forestry Committee as a Legislative Correspondent.  Following her time on Capitol Hill, she worked for the National Association of Letter Carriers as a Regional Field Representative serving as a legislative and political liaison for eleven northeastern states.  Prior to joining NAHB as the federation,s Grassroots Director, she worked at American Cancer Society’s National Government Relations Department where she spent five years developing grassroots programs and trainings for the Society’s advocacy volunteers. You can contact Molly at 800-368-5242 x8282.


Brooke Ransom
Director, Industry Relations

Brooke Ransom recently joined the National Association of Home Builders as Director of Industry Relations. In this role Ransom’s focus is on establishing and maintaining the organization’s external affairs/political outreach efforts by serving as the lead representative to groups like the National League of Cities, the National Association of Counties, the Democratic and Republican Governors associations, the American Legislative Exchange Council, the National Conference of State Legislatures, Council of State Governments, the State Legislative Leaders Foundation, and many others.

Ransom comes to NAHB from Pulte Home Corporation's Washington Division where she was a Land Acquisitions Manager. Prior to that she worked as a Land Development Finance Manager for Robert Harris Homes, a mid-size builder based in Atlanta, Georgia, her hometown.

She received her MBA in real estate finance from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, and did her undergraduate work at Vanderbilt University. Ransom also served in the Washington, D.C. office of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and volunteered at both the 2000 and 2004 Republican National Conventions.  You can contact Brooke at 800-368-5242 x8584.
