Scholarships Now Available for the SLGA Conference

The Executive Officers Council (EOC) Education Fund Scholarship Program is now accepting applications for the 2006 State & Local Government Affairs Conference in New Orleans!

In 2005, the program’s inaugural year, 26 EOs were awarded scholarship dollars to attend the SLGA Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Recipients benefited from the wide array of educational programs covering the day’s hottest housing issues.

“The EOC Scholarship Program made it easy for me to make the commitment to attend last year’s SLGA Conference,” said Dan Dressman, Executive Vice President of the HBA of Northern Kentucky. “It was one of the most informative conferences that I ever attended—well worth the time and effort!”

This year, the scholarship program is open to government affairs staff as well as to executive officers. The EOC Scholarship program is designed to help overcome the financial barriers that may have prevented individuals from attending NAHB educational events in the past. Full and partial scholarships will be awarded for this year’s SLGA Conference.

The EOC encourages executive officers and/or government affairs staff to submit an application and make the SLGA Conference a priority! The deadline for applications is Tuesday, August 15th. Applications for EOs and staff are now available online.
