Elliott Homes is California's Latest NHQ Certified Builder
The NAHB Research Center recently announced that Elliott Homes has earned the nation's latest NHQ Certified Builder designation, following a rigorous audit of the implementation of their quality assurance systems.
For this Folsom, Calif. based builder, quality construction isn’t just an ideal, it’s a family tradition. As the Sacramento region's largest privately-owned home builder, the father and son team of H.C. Elliott and Harry C. Elliott have sold more than 30,000 single-family homes in hundreds of communities throughout Sacramento, Calif. and Phoenix, Ariz. since 1914.
Having received considerable industry acclaim along the way, Elliott Homes maintains its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, a source of pride for the company and the many residents of the communities it builds.
“Elliott Homes' tradition of quality is built into every one of our homes,” said Elliott Homes’ president, Harry C. Elliott. “The NHQ Certification validates and further ensures our commitment to building the best homes available today and for the future.”
Launched in 2005, the NHQ Certified Builder Program is designed to foster consistency and quality in building practices. The program recognizes builders who have implemented formal quality assurance systems and have participated in a rigorous audit by Research Center quality experts. Since the program's launch, participating builders have noted measurable improvements in their productivity, homebuyer satisfaction, and their bottom lines.
A 2006 NAHB Research Center survey revealed that over 70 percent of NHQ Certified builders reported an improvement in their bottom line as a result of program participation. Additionally, over 80 percent agreed that implementing the program’s quality assurance system boosted employee pride and significantly improved relationships with their trades.
California currently is a frontrunner in the NHQ Program, having the greatest number of NHQ Certified builders and NHQ Certified trades operating within its borders. Additional home builders across the country are currently participating in the program, and others are working toward certification in 2007, signaling the program’s growing impact in helping to improve quality and customer satisfaction in America’s housing industry.
