Networking, Educational Sessions, Remodelers Roundtables at Remodelers Central at IBS

Remodelers with questions and concerns about issues, strategies and trends unique to residential remodeling can get expert advice during remodelers roundtables, special sessions and networking events at Remodelers Central during the upcoming 2012 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Orlando.

Remodelers Central is in room W 310 of the Orange County Convention Center.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

  • Remodelers Local Council Roundtable
    10:30 a.m.-noon

    The roundtable is an opportunity for local remodelers council leaders and staff members to network, brainstorm and discuss membership recruitment challenges and solutions with their counterparts from across the country. This event is sponsored by Lowe's Companies Inc.

  • Remodeling Hot Topics: Bring Your Issue and Ask the Experts, Part I
    2:00-3:00 p.m.

    Seasoned remodeling professionals will address hot topics on a range of issues — such as company branding, what remodelers can do to ensure success in 2012 and more — that attendees bring to the table. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions to this event.

Thursday, Feb. 9

  • Successfully Incorporating CAPS Into Everyday Remodeling
    11:00 a.m.-noon

    Seasoned Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) remodelers will lead this roundtable discussion on incorporating aging-in-place principles and features in their projects and designs and discuss the CAPS designation. Panelists will also be available to meet one-on-one with remodelers to discuss this growing segment of the industry.

  • Overcoming Seniors' Reluctance to CAPS Remodeling
    1:30-2:30 p.m.

    During this roundtable discussion, CAPS designation holders will discuss how to overcome customer reluctance to adding aging-in-place and universal design features to their homes. Panelists will also meet individually with attendees to answer questions and share their experience.
