NAHB Continuing to Work With ICC on Improving Model Code Development Process

NAHB is continuing to work with the International Code Council on its model code development process to address the concerns of association members.

Home builders, remodelers and associate members attending NAHB’s fall board of directors meeting in Milwaukee were brought up to date on what NAHB and the ICC have accomplished so far, including observations from ICC President Jimmy Brothers.

Those attending the forum were invited to ask frank questions of ICC representatives and offer their comments.

The session also provided an opportunity for members to review a draft of recommendations the Construction, Codes and Standards (CC&S) Committee is preparing for the 2012 NAHB leadership team on potential future strategies for the association in the codes and standards arena.

The draft recommendations will be forwarded to the 2012 leadership team after a final review by the full CC&S Committee.
