EPA Postpones Post-Construction Stormwater Rulemaking

The Environmental Protection Agency has negotiated a two-month extension for its proposal on the national post-construction stormwater rule.

The original Sept. 30 deadline, which was agreed upon in the Chesapeake Bay Settlement, will be extended until Dec. 2.

The final rule will, however, be finalized as scheduled in Nov. 19, 2012.

Due to the extension of the proposal, the public comment period may be shorter than planned. NAHB will be developing comments on this rule, and more information on the proposal will be available at a later date.

NAHB is seeking feedback from its members on the feasibility of the stormwater proposal. For a related story in Nation's Building News, click here.
