Nigerian Delegation Visits NAHB to Learn About Home Building in the U.S.

NAHB welcomed a delegation of 16 Nigerian builders, architects, mortgage lenders and other related professionals to the National Housing Center in late June for a week of instruction and discussion on residential construction in the U.S.

The delegation was assembled by the Nigerian firm Niche PR, which has a history of working with NAHB International and the U.S. Department of Commerce on learning exchange events at NAHB’s headquarters and at the International Builders’ Show

One day dedicated to off-site activities began with a visit to the NAHB Research Center in Upper Marlboro, Md.

That was followed by a stop at the World Bank/International Finance Corporation to meet with senior staff of the Finance & Private Sector Development Group for discussions on such topics as housing finance, mortgages, slum upgrading and public-private partnership subsidies.
