Waste Management Joins Leading Suppliers Council

Waste Management (WM), one of North America’s best-known providers of waste management and environmental solutions — including collection, transfer, recycling and disposal services — recently joined NAHB’s Leading Suppliers Council.

“We are very excited to be a member of NAHB’s Leading Suppliers Council,” said Jim Halter, vice president of WM’s Construction Solutions and the company’s point of contact with the LSC. “We look forward to working with the association and its members to advance the area of waste management and environmental solutions within the home building sector.”

WM provides integrated project design support for waste management and environmental solutions — from design through construction to facility management for all residential, commercial, industrial and institutional construction projects, as well as services for specialty contractors and related professional services.

WM’s dedicated Construction Solutions group helps contractors and builders — and their customers — keep their projects on schedule and on budget by ensuring the timely delivery of services, while reducing the environmental impact of the construction process with increased diversion and recycling of materials.

“Our innovative environmental solutions can help builders meet their green building goals and can help them more easily earn green certifications for their projects by reducing or eliminating environmental impacts through high-performance construction and operations waste management and environmental practices,” Halter said.

"We're pleased that WM has joined NAHB," said Andrew Moore, senior purchasing for KB Homes. "WM has been an excellent partner in helping us manage our construction debris diversion and recycling programs for all of our projects."

Waste Management is headquartered in Houston and has more than 45,000 employees.
