Finalists Announced for National Sales and Marketing Awards ― The Nationals

NAHB’s National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) has recently announced the finalists for The National Sales and Marketing Awards — The Nationals — the largest and most prestigious competition for new-home sales and marketing professionals and communities.

Also know as Silver Award Winners, they are the top-vote recipients in more than 50 sales and marketing categories.

The Gold Award, the winners of each category, will be honored at The Nationals Gala on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the 2011 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Orlando. The awards ceremony will be held at the The Peabody Orlando and is expected to draw more than 500 attendees.

Begun in 1982 as the Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM) Awards, The Nationals recognize superior new home sales and marketing achievements in product and community design, advertising, marketing and sales achievements by individuals and sales teams.

“This year’s Silver finalists have done amazing things given the current economy,” said Gaye Orr, chairperson of the 2011 Nationals. “Now is not the time to doubt the housing industry but to celebrate all the accomplishments that we are still achieving.”

During a two-day judging process, a panel of six industry professionals from across the country selected this year’s Silver and Gold award winners from a field of more than 700 entries.

Most entrants submitted their materials digitally, a new process introduced this year.

The Nationals Gala will be the largest networking event for sales and marketing professionals at IBS. Cocktails, dinner and networking will be from 5:00-7:30 p.m., with the awards presentation beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Legends of Residential Marketing Also Honored

NSMC also will present the Legends of Residential Marketing, an award honoring builders and consultants who stand apart as leaders in the new home marketing field.

This year’s recipients include Richard Elkman, MIRM, president of Group Two Real Estate Marketing and Advertising; and the Green Companies and its founder, Alan Green, its president Dan Green, its managing director, Tony Green, and its CEO, David Caligaris.

Legends recipients are selected based upon their professionalism and commitment to the industry, along with the quality of their new home marketing.

The exclusive co-sponsors of The Nationals are MetLife Home Loans and MetLife Bank, N.A. Elite sponsors include Thermador and Wells Fargo. Preferred sponsors include AT&T Connected Communities, BDX and Washington Post Media.
