Submissions for the Lee S. Evans/National Housing Endowment Scholarship to students majoring in construction-related fields for the 2011-2012 academic year are due on Friday, Oct. 29.
The scholarships award graduates and undergraduates pursuing degrees in residential construction management in two- and four-year colleges and universities up to $5,000 each year. High school students are not eligible.
Thirteen students were awarded $41,000 in scholarships for the 2010 academic year. Since the Lee Evans scholarship fund was founded in 1993, 184 students have been awarded more than $540,000.
The Lee Evans scholarship recipients for the 2011-2012 academic year will be announced in January at the 2011 NAHB International Builders' Show in Orlando.
