March 25 Webinar to Present Steps to a Smart LIHTC Rehab

During a webinar beginning at 3:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, March 25, industry experts will highlight some of the main concerns and issues for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) developers and property managers to consider when acquiring and rehabilitating existing property.

The webinar is free to NAHB Housing Credit Group (HCG) members and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation holders. The fee is $59 per phone site for other NAHB members and $89 per phone site for non-members.

Presented in conjunction with the NAHB HCCP designation program, participants in the one-hour webinar, "What Matters in Acquisition Rehab," will discuss due diligence and compliance matters in LIHTC acquisition rehab deals.

Webinar topics will include:

  • Researching the existing market
  • Due diligence issues when acquiring a property
  • Typical capital requirements
  • Opportunity and challenges with existing financing sources
  • Compliance issues and best practices


Moderated by Oke Johnson, of LEDIC Management Group; speakers will include Jeff Woda, of The Woda Group, and Ruth Theobald Probst, of TheoPRO Compliance & Consulting Inc.

Participants can receive continuing education credit for their HCCP designation renewal.
