NAHB-Produced Programs on the DIY Network
The NAHB Production Group produces weekly television shows for consumers on the DIY network. The following is the latest lineup:
"Rock Solid" on DIY
Episode: "Fireplace Facelift"
Expert stone masons and hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns give a stone facelift to a dated brick living room fireplace. Instead of removing the ugly brickwork, they use Seabed natural thin stone — a light colored stone with fossils — to cover the existing bricks. Dean and Derek also add a bluestone hearth and refinish an old wooden mantel to completely transform the fireplace.
"Indoors Out" on DIY
Episode: "Zen Spa"

Hosts Dean and Derek transform a little-used backyard into an outdoor room for meditation and relaxation with the addition of a stone path, seating area, sculpture and outdoor shower for the Boidleau family, who live a block from the beach but have no outdoor space to enjoy all that fresh air — or to shower after a dip in the ocean. Dean and Derek add natural flagging to the entire area, an abundance of plants and stone sculptures for an artistic flair. To make this outdoor space look and feel like a room, they refurbish an old door and hang it at the entrance. Working with the Boidleaus, they turn a crowded tight space into a spacious room with style, elegance and art.
