Pavilion a Valuable Resource to Line Up Housing Credit at IBS
The Partnership Pavilion premiering at the upcoming International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas is receiving an enthusiastic response from NAHB members who are signing up to meet with a variety of capital sources and financing advisors to explore financing solutions for their projects through debt and equity positions, joint ventures and partnerships and traditional sources of housing credit.
Applications to participate in the ground-breaking effort have included a wide range of projects — from multifamily and student housing to single-family and infill to large master-planned communities working on rehab. Financing requests so far have ranged from about $1 million to $24 million.
Here’s how the program works:
- Participation is free, easy and open exclusively to NAHB members who are attending IBS.
- Applicants simply submit basic information online about the project(s) for which they need funding.
- Participating financial firms will review builders’ information and, where appropriate, schedule one-on-one meetings during IBS in the pavilion’s private meeting spaces.
All builders who submit projects will be invited to attend an exclusive session during IBS, “Wall Street Meets Main Street — How to Package Your Project for Successful Funding,” which will feature presentations by three funding experts and include time for questions and answers.
Members who are interested in participating in the pavilion need to qualify prior to the show by providing specific information on their proposed projects. For further information on this process, go to www.nahb.org/partnership.
