Cast Your Vote in nahbSTAR Competition by Dec. 18
Online voting is now underway for nahbSTAR, the talent contest that will determine who will sing the national anthem at the Grand Opening Ceremonies at IBS on Jan. 19.
Open to NAHB members and their immediate family, 13 "amateur status” contestants have entered the “American Idol”-style competition and submitted videos of their live performances of the "Star Spangled Banner.” Contestants vying to become the first nahbSTAR include a former Disney cast member, a wedding singer and a verteran of the stage.
The videos are posted on the IBS Web site for online voting that will trim the field of contestants to the top three.
Online voting closes at 5:00 p.m. EST Friday, Dec. 18.
The three finalists will perform before a panel of judges on Jan. 18 in Las Vegas, where the contest's winner, first runner-up and second runner-up will be chosen.
