CraftMaster Green Doors Provide Green Building Benefits

CraftMaster will be displaying its environmentally friendly molded interior doors at Booth N1825 at the upcoming International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.
The doors are made with sustainable materials, recycled content and low-VOC primers and adhesives, and they produce low-formaldehyde emissions.
CraftMaster Green Doors are available in all CraftMaster raised panel, molded door designs — from the original six-panel Colonist and four-panel, square-top Coventry, to the two-panel, square-top Carrara; arched-top, two-panel plank Cashal and others.
To complement a wide range of home styles, CMI offers CraftMaster Green Doors with a solid GreenLite fiberboard door core. The rigid, lightweight core provides the heft, weight and sound-deadening properties of a solid wood door, and it is made using wood obtained from forestlands that are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
CraftMaster Green Doors made with this sustainable solid core contain a minimum of 48% pre-consumer recycled wood content. Hollow-core Green Doors contain a minimum of 23% recycled content.
CMI uses sawmill chips generated as residual waste from sawmill operations and field chips to make CraftMaster doors and molded door designs. Field chips are the residuals from field chipping operations of tree tops and leftover wood. Left unused, this wood simply rots or is sent to landfills. Instead, it is broken down into fibers, and then exposed to intense heat and pressure and converted into engineered durable, beautiful wood products.
With the combination of environmentally friendly raw materials and sustainable manufacturing products, CraftMaster Green Doors can help building professionals meet the National Green Building Standard.
