Generac Displays Latest in Standby Power Generators

In Booth N2805 at the Jan. 19-22 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, conventioneers will have the opportunity to see the latest improvements to Generac Power Systems' Guardian Series of automatic standby power generators.
Among the improvements is the inclusion of the new, state-of-the-art Nexus Control System, which is compatible with several new transfer switches that provide the most advanced load shedding capabilities in the market.
The Nexus transfer switches allow the generator to electronically manage up to six high-power loads. This intelligent load management upgrade is a smart solution to in-home emergency management as it drastically reduces the size of the generator required for mid- to larger-sized homes, making residential standby generators more affordable than ever before for home owners.
The Nexus Control System is standard for all products in the Generac Guardian Series of liquid- and air-cooled models.
Additional technological advancements include a smart charging system that helps to prolong the life of the battery by only charging it when needed. Other improvements include combined engine control and voltage monitoring, added safety features and shutdowns, simpler wiring warnings to ensure proper installation of the generator and new wireless remote monitoring devices.
Automatic standby generators operate on natural gas or liquid propane vapor, so there are none of the fuel storage, spillage, spoilage or odor concerns that are common with gasoline or diesel models. Because of their favorable emissions profile, gaseous-fueled generators, like those in the Generac Guardian Series, are becoming increasingly popular as environmentally conscious solutions for backup power needs.
Generac introduced the first gaseous-fueled automatic home standby system in 1989 and has been the leading brand ever since.
Generac is a proud supporter of the Home Safety Council and has earned the Good Housekeeping Seal after evaluation by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute.
