Knauf Sustainable Insulation Now Available Across U.S.

Located in the Show Village at next month’s International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, Knauf Insulation has announced that its EcoBatt Glasswool Insulation is now available nationwide.
Representing the manufacturer’s next generation of sustainable insulation, the product combines a minimum 35% (and up to 50%) post-consumer recycled glass and sand, one of the world’s most abundant renewable natural resources, with ECOSE Technology.
“ECOSE Technology is up to 70% less energy-intensive than our previous binder, and reduces the carbon footprint of products made with the revolutionary technology. It also eliminates the petroleum-based chemicals such as phenol and formaldehyde traditionally used in insulation binders,” said Bill Taylor, Knauf Insulation North America director at the company’s facility in Lanett, Ala., the latest location where the new insulation is being manufactured.
ECOSE Technology delivers improved environmental sustainability, reduces embodied energy and, in addition to phenol and formaldehyde, does not contain acrylics or artificial colors typically found in traditional fiberglass batt insulation products.
Knauf Insulation is a leading global manufacturer of thermal and acoustical insulations for residential, commercial, industrial, OEM and metal building applications.
