The Messina model by Shea Homes will be one of the homes visited on the Custom Home Tour in San Diego. Photo courtesy of Shea Homes | Advance registration is closed for the Custom Home Tour, one of the most anticipated events of the 2009 Custom Builder Symposium + Design Institute in San Diego, but symposium attendees can register on site for the tour, which begins with a full breakfast, market orientation and briefing at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
The bus departs at 8:30 a.m. and the tour ends with a luncheon at the Hilton.
Between stops on the bus, attendees will view videos from the builders involved and hear about the upcoming homes. At each home, builder and designer representatives will be on hand to answer questions and point out special details that might otherwise be missed.
The tour includes a model home, condominium, infill property and at least one private residence — presenting participants with the full spectrum of custom building and design, from the drawing board to on-the-market to sold and occupied.
Participating builders include Wardell Builders, Shea Homes, Davidson Communities and Wave Crest Enterprises, Inc.
Onsite registration begins at 7:00 a.m. Attendees can register for the tour only or take advantage of full-conference or one-day registration options available for the entire Custom Builder Symposium + Design Institute, which will be held Nov. 6-8.
