NAHB-Produced Programs on the DIY Network

The NAHB Production Group produces weekly television shows for consumers on the DIY network. The following is the latest lineup:

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Dry-Stack Fieldstone Wall With Granite Steps"

• July 1, 5:00 p.m. EST

Home owner Johnny Zompanti has a problem. His nephew started a dry-stack stone wall in his backyard but never finished it. DIY's expert stone masons and hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns arrive to save the day and in the process demonstrate the proper way to install an old-fashioned-looking dry-stack wall using new palletized fieldstone. From the quarry to the job site, they provide insider tips on how to organize stone and build a solid wall that will last forever. They also incorporate three granite steps into the wall and demonstrate how to measure steps and cut the granite for proper installation.

"Indoors Out" on DIY

Episode: "Swedish Sauna"

• July 2, 9:00 p.m. EST

The Askew family is in a bind — they have very little living space inside and a yard dominated by a standalone Japanese koi pond. So hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns create a Japanese-themed living room around the pond to help them out. They build a floating deck and bridge up against the pond, hide ugly filters with bamboo and add beautiful Asian-inspired plantings and accents. When they're done, the Askews will enjoy family time and the fish pond they've worked so hard to create.
