NAHB-Produced Programs on DIY, Fine Living and HGTV

The NAHB Production Group produces weekly television shows on DIY, Fine Living and HGTV for consumers. The following is the latest lineup:

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Kitchen Concrete Floor"

• March 17, 9:30 p.m. ET
• March 17, 11:30 p.m. ET

Expert stone masons and hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns, along with experts Jason Thoelke and Brandon Hobbes, of Creative Concrete Solutions, install an acid-etched concrete floor in a kitchen. In the process, they learn that the road to concrete can be messy and multi-layered, especially if the demo of the existing floor is difficult. Through the process, they demonstrate how to properly prepare a sub floor for a concrete overlay, how to mix the ingredients for each level of finish, how to find the right tools to achieve the desired texture and how to stain the floor safely and with even color.

"I Want That" on Fine Living

Episode: "Portable GPS Navigation, Copper Kitchens, Stylish Pet Carriers"

• March 19, 1:30 p.m. ET

Never get lost again with a portable multimedia device that also includes a GPS navigation system. Enhance your kitchen with a copper sink and countertop. Make refrigerator cleaning easier with a liner infused with baking soda. Transport your pet in style with a hip, designer alternative to the traditional carrier.

Free NAHB Kit Gives Builders Back-to-Basics Tips to Navigate the Slowdown

What was once expected to be a relatively mild housing slump following three years of record new home construction and sales has given way to a significant downturn.

To help members navigate the uncharted waters of this slowdown, NAHB has compiled a comprehensive “Back to Basics” online toolkit — the best of the basics, the tried and true and the truly new. To access the toolkit, click here.

To access the “Back to Basics” toolkit, you must be an NAHB member and have a login to www.nahb.org. To create a login, go to www.nahb.org/login or click on the log-in button on the main menu bar.

For assistance, call the NAHB Member Service Center at 800-368-5242.
