Try Technology Before You Buy at IBS Computer Labs
The NAHB: Builder Software — Computer Labs at the 2009 International Builders' Show in Las Vegas next month will feature vendors demonstrating the latest in builder technology form-fitted to address the business needs of the builder.
Attendees in the 90-minute lab sessions will be able to "try before they buy" such technologies as computer-aided design and drafting software (CADD), estimating software, workflow management software that can help reduce cycle time, accounting and purchasing software and more.
Vendors will be available for the labs throughout the day on Wednesday, Jan. 21 and Thursday, Jan. 22.
The labs are interactive and vendor representatives will be available for one-on-one assistance to answer any questions builders may have.
The computer labs will allow builders to test programs before they decide to make a purchase so they can determine what is the right technology for their business without going through the hassle and frustration of buying a product that’s not the right fit for their company’s needs.
There is no requirement to purchase any products at the IBS computer labs.
NAHB staff members also will conduct a computer lab to demonstrate and assist members with the many valuable resources available on the NAHB Web site, www.nahb.org.
NAHB staff members will be available to help NAHB members find information written by builders for builders on Biztools, NAHB’s business management tools Web pages, and other important areas of NAHB’s Web site.
