The Executive Officers Council (EOC) is providing a full schedule of educational programming and networking opportunities during the 2009 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas next month.

Sunday, Jan. 18
- Education Session:
One Size Does Not Fit All — Managing Generations in the Workplace and on Your Boards of Directors
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Las Vegas Convention Center, North 204
This session examines how to effectively work with a board of directors and staff of multiple generations — a challenge that many organizations are facing today. How do you get four different generations of workers to work side-by-side and collaborate?
- Convention Survival Training
1:30-3:00 p.m.
Las Vegas Convention Center, North 264
A “must attend” event for Executive Officers attending the Builders’ Show for the first time, this session will teach first-time attendees how to decipher their schedules and prioritize their time in relation to their needs. This is a free program, but pre-registration is required.

NAHB’s chief lobbyist, Bill Killmer, will discuss NAHB’s key advocacy efforts and other issues with attendees.
- Education Session:
The New Form 990
1:30-3:30 p.m.
Las Vegas Convention Center, North 204
The Internal Revenue Service has completed its revision of the 2008 Form 990, which will go into effect for the 2008 tax year (i.e. returns filed in 2009). This session will examine how this change affects HBAs and what EOs will be required to report. One of the nation's leading nonprofit attorneys will explain exactly how the form has changed and how to prepare to track the information needed to file the revised form in 2009.
