Top Remodelers, Councils Honored at Annual Gala

NAHB’s top remodelers and councils were honored at the NAHB Remodelers Annual Awards Gala last month in Baltimore.

Held during the Remodeling Show, members and local councils were recognized for their achievements in remodeling and leadership.

  • Hanbury, Richardson Inducted Into Remodeling Hall of Fame

Alan Hanbury, CGR, CAPS, CGP, of House of Hanbury Builders in Newington, Conn., and Mark Richardson, CR, of Case Handyman & Remodeling in Bethesda, Md., were inducted into the Remodeling Hall of Fame.

Hanbury, who has worked more than 30 years in the remodeling industry, has been active at the local and national levels, helped form a local remodelers council for the Home Builders Association of Hartford County and served as the 2001 chairman of NAHB Remodelers, among other leadership roles. Through speaking, training and publications and columns, Hanbury has helped educate his fellow remodelers on fiscal management and has succeeded in raising the professionalism of remodelers nationwide.

Richardson, who entered the remodeling industry at 21, serves as a national spokesperson for the remodeling industry and writes a column for Remodeling magazine. He also recently completed the book, “How Fit Is Your Business?”

  • Hunt Named Remodeler of the Year

Additionally, the bathroom was improved with a roll-under sink, a roll-in shower with handheld shower heads and an angled mirror.
