NAHB-Produced Programs on DIY, Fine Living and HGTV

The NAHB Production Group produces weekly television shows on DIY, Fine Living and HGTV for consumers. The following is the latest lineup:

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Tiered Garden Walls"

• June 21, 11:30 a.m. EST
• June 21, 3:00 p.m. EST

Using natural storne, DIY's professsional stone-masons and cousins, Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns, build three tiered walls into a slope to create a flowing curved garden. They incorporate a mixture of indigenous stones set in concrete and designed in the tradition of old farm walls and, of course, give it color and beauty with decorative landscaping. It's an easy inexpensive do-it-yourself project that will pump up a hillside with curb appeal.

"I Want That" on Fine Living

Episode: "Speedy Skates, Home Elevator, Collapsible Coffee Table, Faucet Light"

• June 17, 4:00 p.m. EST
• June 19, 10:30 a.m. EST

New, speedy skates tackle rough terrain smoothly. Discover how this residential elevator works on air pressure. An environmentally-friendly coffee table collapses and costs less to ship. Light up the sink with an attachment that adds blue light to the water stream.

Free NAHB Kit Gives Builders Back-to-Basics Tips to Navigate the Slowdown

What was once expected to be a relatively mild housing slump following three years of record new home construction and sales has given way to a significant downturn.

To help members navigate the uncharted waters of this slowdown, NAHB has compiled a comprehensive “Back to Basics” online toolkit — the best of the basics, the tried and true and the truly new. To access the toolkit, click here.

To access the “Back to Basics” toolkit, you must be an NAHB member and have a login to www.nahb.org. To create a login, go to www.nahb.org/login or click on the log-in button on the main menu bar.

For assistance, call the NAHB Member Service Center at 800-368-5242.
