Attend Log Homes Council President’s Tour April 6-8

	The 2008 Log Home Council President's Tour is in Appleton, Wis.

Onsite registration is still available for the Log Homes Council (LHC) President’s Tour  ― the log home industry's premier touring, networking and educational event ― in Appleton, Wis. on April 6-8.

More than 110 people have registered to attend the tour.

The tour gives attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the log industry as they visit log manufacturing plants, model homes and log home design centers in the Appleton area. The three-day event will include tours of:

• Timber Valley Millwork — a door manufacturing plant
• Expedition Log Homes — a log manufacturing facility
• Golden Eagle Log Homes — a log manufacturing facility with model homes and a design center
• Meadow Valley Log Homes — a log manufacturing facility and “Jellystone Park” log home resort
• Strongwood Log Home Company — a log model home

The President’s Tour also includes a log home council general meeting and two education sessions.

• Industry consultants Jerry Rouleau and Scott Stroud of J. Rouleau & Associates, LLC will lead a seminar focusing on Web site design and e-marketing strategies to increase interest and sales of log homes.
  
  
• Don Carr of the NAHB Research Center will discuss the NAHB Green Building Program and its certification program.
  
  Carr also will discuss the green building program at the upcoming Building Systems Councils Modular and Panel Plant Tour in Harrisburg, Pa. on May 18-20 and the Concrete Technologies Tour in Charlotte, N.C. on June 1-3.
