Clyde Anderson, of Dallas HBA, Named 2007 Associate of the Year
Clyde Anderson, CGA, CGB, GMB, CAPS, of Cabinet Specialists in Lewisville, Texas, was named NAHB’s 2007 Associate of the Year during the International Builders’ Show in Orlando earlier this month. The award is the highest honor given to associates.
Anderson, a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas, was honored for his extensive involvement in his HBA as well as for his ongoing support of many local charities and organizations.
He has chaired several of the Dallas HBA’s councils and committees, including the Associates Council, HOME-PAC, Builder Buddy and the architectural review subcommittee. In addition, he has served on such committees as education, membership, the ambassador club, government relations and green building and is a member of the local remodelers council.
Through the years, Anderson has been involved with such local charities as the Juvenile Diabetes Association and the Support Our Troops program. He also supports and volunteers for the Cedar Hill Independent School District.
For his efforts, Anderson has received numerous local awards for outstanding service and was named the Dallas HBA’s Associate of the Year 12 times.
Robert Morris, executive vice president of the Dallas HBA, called Anderson “an exemplar of true commitment to the home building industry.”
“He is tireless in his efforts to support our HBA and is a wonderful recruiter,” Morris said. “Clyde’s acknowledgement as NAHB Associate of the Year is duly earned as he has been one of the most active associate members in the last decade.”
