'Cookin' for a Cure' Proceeds Donated to Two Families

Nearly 900 "Cookin' for a Cure" cookbooks, produced by the Log Homes Council, have been sold so far, and more orders are coming in.

More than 60 council members and most of their product suppliers have provided tasty recipes — ranging from Texas Caviar to Cherry Pretzel Torte — and have donated funds to produce the 200-page cookbook.

All proceeds from the cookbook will go to the National Cancer Awareness Foundation, a nonprofit, totally volunteer organization that gives 100% of all the money it raises to families in need.

The council has already donated proceeds from cookbook sales to two families in need.

"Cookin' for a Cure" sells for $14.50, plus $4.05 shipping.
