Toilet Lid Tattoos Aimed at Do-It-Yourselfers

From quaint to colorful to classic, Toilet Tattos are "the only way to crown your throne," according to the manufacturer.

After being successfully launched last year, Toilet Tattoos® has expanded its line of designs of hygienic, removable and reusable decorative appliqués for the toilet lid.

Made from electrostatic vinyl film, Toilet Tattoos are easy to apply and wipe clean, according to Celeste Massullo, the inventor of the product and the president of the company that is now manufacturing the appliqués in Macedonia, Ohio.

Because no adhesives are used, Toilet Tattoos can be changed as often as the Charmin, the manufacturer says.

Designs include classic Fleur-de-lis and Leopard, whimsical Ducky, holiday Snowflakes, wallpaper Polka Dots, thematic Seashells and Ocean Fish and even original works of art and photographs.

There is also a line that has been developed for the specific purpose of potty training.

“The creation of Toilet Tattoos came from my realization that the options for decorating the toilet had been ignored and unchanged for many years,” said Massullo. “I believe there are people out there like me that would never consider using the germ-harboring ‘rug’ toilet topper, and feel a decorative seat is too complicated, permanent and costly.”

She added that the tattoo “puts toilet décor in line with society’s current way of life.”
