Register Early for 50+ Housing Symposium and Save

Register now for Building for Boomers & Beyond: 50+ Housing Symposium 2007, the premiere networking and education event for professionals serving the growing 50+ housing market, and save.

The symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center from May 30-June 1. The symposium will feature several breakout sessions on factors that are driving the 50+ market, as well as three housing tours. Post-conference courses will be offered June 2-3.

Some symposium highlights include:

  • Selling the Boom*Boom*Boom

Learn how to transcend the basic sales process and power up your presentations with the real motives and feelings of each customer, how to ask the right questions and listen for the right answers. Listen through the most common objections and speed up every customer decision.

Presented by: Will Nowell, ServiceTrac, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Steve Wolfson, Tarragon Corporation, New York, N.Y.

  • What Can I Say? Legal Considerations When Marketing and Selling 50+ Housing

Marketing to 50+ buyers can be a minefield for Fair Housing awareness, especially when your market reaches beyond your own state or municipality. Learn how to expand your marketing reach while complying with the law.

Presented by: David Herrigel, Hyatt & Stubblefield, PC, Atlanta; Janet L. Bozeman, Hyatt & Stubblefield, PC, Atlanta; and Phil Darrow, Pulte Homes, Inc., Huntley, Ill.

  • Kitchens and Master Suites: Two Keys to the Hearts of Boomers

Boomers are demanding and difficult to categorize. They expect innovations in design. Nowhere is this more apparent than in kitchens and baths. This session will explore the design and product directions for these two critical spaces, with an emphasis on universal design and other lifestyle issues.

Presented by: Mary Jo Peterson, Mary Jo Peterson, Inc., Brookfield, Conn.; Robert Williams, KTGY Group, Inc., Irvine, Calif.

50+ Housing Tours

New this year, the 50+ Symposium is offering three housing tours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30.

  • Active Adult/Lifestyle Bus Tour, Sponsored by Move.com

This is a tour of four active adult communities in the Denver area. Builders’ teams from each community will provide an overview of the development, marketing and sales processes of that community.

  • Service-Enriched Bus Tour

Denver organizations are offering new, luxurious communities to meet the desires and needs of this segment of the seniors housing market. This tour will feature five continuing care retirement communities, with a builder presentation at each.

  • Transit-Oriented Development Housing Tour

The expanded Denver Light Rail system has brought new, higher-density housing and services near the stations along these rail lines. Attendees will ride Denver’s light rail to the new Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) projects and then walk the projects.

The cost for each tour is $95 per person and includes transportation and lunch.
