NAHB-Produced Programs on HGTV & DIY This Week

The NAHB Production Group produces three weekly television shows on HGTV and DIY for consumers. The following is the latest lineup:

"I Want That" on HGTV

Episode: "Portable Internet, Anti-Gravity Boots"

•  Dec. 17, 2:00 p.m. ET/PT

In this episode, see some of the latest gift ideas for every budget. Take the Internet with you wherever you go with a portable Wi-Fi Internet tablet. Cool anti-gravity boots will put an extra little bounce in your step. Make your winter yard the talk of the town with fun snowman accessories. And add a little bit of eco-consciousness to your holidays with environmentally friendly wrapping ideas.

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Kitchen Concrete Floor"

• Dec. 14, 5:00 p.m. ET/PT
• Dec. 16, 11:30 a.m. ET/PT

The stone guys, Derek Stearns and Dean Marsico, along with experts Jason Thoelke and Brandon Hobbes, of Creative Concrete Solutions, install an acid-etched concrete floor in a kitchen. In the process, they learn that the road to concrete can be messy and multi-layered, especially if the demo of the existing floor is difficult. Through the process, they demonstrate how to properly prepare a sub floor for a concrete overlay, how to mix the ingredients for each level of finish, how to find the right tools to achieve the desired texture and how to stain the floor safely and with even color.

"Assembly Required" on DIY

Episode: "Deltec Round Kit Home (Part 2)"

• Dec. 13, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
• Dec. 14, 2:30 a.m. ET/PT
• Dec. 17, noon ET/PT
• Dec. 19, 5:30 p.m. ET/PT

Catch up with a Virginia build crew as they raise a round roof and wrap up the build. Also, find out how one North Carolina family made out custom-designing and general contracting their own Deltec home. Even when it's prefab, "doing-it-yourself" can be tougher than expected.
