NAHB-Produced Programs on HGTV & DIY This Week

The NAHB Production Group produces three weekly television shows on HGTV and DIY for consumers. The following is the latest lineup:

"I Want That" on HGTV

Episode: "Mosquito Trap, Handy Tools"

•  Nov. 17, 11:30 p.m. ET/PT
•  Nov. 18, 3:30 a.m.  ET/PT
•  Nov. 19, 2:00 p.m. ET/PT

An advanced mosquito trap keeps up to an acre of area clear of the bloodsucking pests. New tools include a laser measuring device, a painting system and a magnetic wristband to keep small tools close at hand. A caffeine-laced soap makes your morning shower more exhilarating. Plus, a soda keeper, hot dog griller, plant water monitor and more.

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Stone Veneer Bar"

• Nov. 16, 5:00 p.m. ET/PT
• Nov. 19, 11:30 a.m. ET/PT

Dean and Derek give a bland basement room a rock solid focal point. Using real stone veneer, they transform a plain bar island into a rustic seating area that adds interest and color to an otherwise boring space. They shore it with asphalt paper and metal lathe, demonstrate how to mix mud and sort the stones to maximize ratio and color — while giving tips on how to shape stone, control joint size and what tools to use for a professional final product.

"Assembly Required" on DIY

Episode: "Manufactured Home"

• Nov. 15, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
• Nov. 16, 2:30 a.m. ET/PT
• Nov. 19, noon ET/PT
• Nov. 21, 5:30 p.m. ET/PT

In this episode, an old trailer home gets revamped as the Roddey family pushes the envelope in the design of a manufactured home and gets it built in record speed. Also, take a look inside a manufactured home factory and see the new techniques that set these homes apart from their trailer park past.
