Seven Named Endowment’s Newest Founding Advocates
Seven couples were named the newest Founding Advocates of the National Housing Endowment for committing a donation of six figures to the leadership and growth of the endowment, the philanthropic arm of NAHB.

Sheila and Isaac Heimbinder | Isaac and Sheila Heimbinder: Isaac Heimbinder is the vice chairman, president and COO of Kimball Hill Homes, one of the nation’s largest privately held home builders. He was recognized by Builder magazine as one of the “100 Most Influential People in America’s Housing Industry in the 20th Century.” The Heimbinders’ gift establishes the National Housing Endowment Builders Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Service.

Judi and Ken Klein | Kenneth and Judi Klein: Ken Klein is a 43-year veteran of the home building and remodeling industry and owner of Kleinco Residential. He has been recognized for his leadership in the Oklahoma business community as well as for his more than 25 years of active participation in NAHB. The Kleins’ gift will go toward education, research and training through the endowment’s unrestricted fund.

Marlene and Bob Mitchell | Robert and Marlene Mitchell: Bob Mitchell is the co-founder of Mitchell & Best Group and has a 42-year history of industry involvement at the local, state and national levels. Mitchell is the 2000 NAHB president and a 2006 inductee into the National Housing Hall of Fame. The Mitchells’ gift creates the Robert and Marlene Mitchell Educational Fund of the National Housing Endowment and supports the Home Builders Care Initiative and the NAHB Housing Archives.

Fred and Jacqueline Napolitano | Frederick and Jacqueline Napolitano: Fred Napolitano is a longtime builder and developer in the Hampton Roads, Va. area and is chairman of Pembroke Enterprises and Napolitano Homes. He was the 1982 NAHB president and served on the board of directors of IndyMac Bank and advisory committees for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Napolitano is a 1988 inductee into the National Housing Hall of Fame. The Napolitano’s gift will benefit the endowment’s unrestricted fund.

Roger and Linda Pastore | Roger and Linda Pastore: Roger Pastore is the former president and CEO of Pulte Mortgage and is the founder of RCP Financial Group. Pastore also served as the chairman of NAHB’s Housing Finance Group and is an active member of the Mortgage Roundtable. The Pastores’ gift will benefit the endowment’s unrestricted fund.

Ann and Harry Pryde | Harry and Ann Pryde: Harry Pryde is the founder and CEO of Pryde Corporation and he was the 1983 NAHB president. He is an NAHB life director and a 1989 inductee into the National Housing Hall of Fame. He is a former director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle and a commissioner of the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. The Prydes made an unrestricted gift to the endowment.

Dave and Trish Wilson | David and Trish Wilson: Dave Wilson is the 2005 NAHB president and owner of Wilson Construction. A Registered Master Builder and past chair of BUILD-PAC, Wilson has more than 30 years of industry service at the local, state and national levels including president of the Wood River Building Contractors Association and the Idaho Building Contractors Association. Wilson was named Idaho’s Home Builder of the Year and was twice honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award for Profound Influence on the Economics, Social and Political Atmosphere of the Building Industry. The Wilsons’ gift will benefit the endowment's unrestricted fund.
 “We are proud to welcome these individuals to the endowment’s growing family of donors,” said Gary Garczynski, endowment chairman and 2002 NAHB president. “We are honored to have their faith and support as stewards of their gifts.”
“The endowment is working to triple the number of college graduates entering the residential construction profession. The support and caring of people like these are an inspiration and we hope it will inspire others to join in our efforts,” Garczynski said.
