NAHB-Produced Programs on HGTV & DIY This Week

The NAHB Production Group produces four weekly television shows on HGTV and DIY for consumers. The following is this week's lineup:

"I Want That" on HGTV

A Pagoda-style house makes itself at home on a Maryland hillside. A contemporary row house puts a new spin on San Francisco architecture. A Virginia cottage with an isolated feel hides some high-tech wiring features. And a 25-foot grain silo helps families turn up the heat in their suburban Washington, D.C. community.

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Granite Countertops"

• Aug. 17, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT
• Aug. 18, 2:00 a.m. ET/PT
• Aug. 20, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
• Aug. 21, 1:00 a.m. ET/PT

The stone guys, Dean and Derek, with assistance from guest expert Kelley Stupfel, use a system of granite pieces to simulate the look of slab granite in order to create granite countertops at a fraction of the usual price.

"Assembly Required" on DIY

Episode: "Glidehouse"

• Aug. 15, 5:30 p.m. ET/PT
• Aug. 22, 5:30 p.m. ET/PT

When architect Michelle Kauffman designed her Glidehouse dream home, she never imagined it would become so popular. Now Kauffman’s mass-producing her Glidehouse using modular prefab design, and the Minor family wants to get one of their own. However, getting the oversized modular home onto their lot on Puget Sound’s Whidbey Island is no easy task. Will the crew be able to get the 16-foot wide modules up a 9-foot wide driveway and around a hairpin turn? Find out on Assembly Required.
