NAHB-Produced Programs on HGTV & DIY This Week

The NAHB Production Group produces four weekly television shows on HGTV and DIY for consumers. The following is this week's lineup:

"I Want That" on HGTV

Episode: "Outdoor Entertaining in Style"

•  April 16, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
•  April 17, 1:00 a.m. ET/PT

New products bring style, safety and comfort to outdoor events. A stainless-steel charcoal grill looks as good as it cooks. A new valve for gas grills can shut off in case of leaks. Evaporative coolers can make summer parties more comfortable.

"Dream Builders" on HGTV

Episode: "Virginia Family Fun House"

•  April 9, 10:30 a.m. ET/PT

In this episode, a Virginia family home includes a waterfall pool and racquetball court. An amazing home outside of Atlanta has underground rooms topped with a circular structure that mimics a tree. A Sarasota home features a moat/swimming pool, bridge and clock tower. The owners of an old cottage say you can still hear the ghost of a missing gold miner in their Breckenridge home. Owners of a home in California wine country turn to a master carpenter to create cabinets for their Asian-inspired home.

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Granite Fireplace Revamp"

• April 6, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
• April 7, 1:30 a.m. ET/PT
• April 8, 9:00 a.m. ET/PT

Home owner Frank Marinelli made a common mistake when building his Newport home 20 years ago. He saved money by covering the fireplace surrounds in his living and dining room with brick and inexpensive tile. That brick is now painted white and fading, the tile is chipped and the fireplaces are more than ready for a facelift. Frank calls on his old buddies, masons Dean and Derek, to revamp his two fireplace surrounds using polished granite and boulder veneer. Dean and Derek will take us inside the stone fabricator's shop; discuss what to look for in a good manufacturer and how to choose stone; and demonstrate how to revamp a fireplace surround.

"Assembly Required" on DIY

Episode: "Modular Home (Part 1)"

• April 5, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
• April 6, 1:30 a.m. ET/PT
• April 9, 2:00 p.m. ET/PT

Meet two families who realize just how fantastic custom prefab homes can be. Watch as the Papadapoulos family considers prefab home options for their Virginia vineyard. Also, meet the Surratt family who used prefab technology to create a one-of-a kind modular home. Tour their home and find out the many upgrades that are available to modular home buyers.
