Associate Member BUILD-PAC Drive Launched

The NAHB Associate Member BUILD-PAC Drive kicked off Wednesday, March 1, and will continue through May 31.

The 2005 drive raised more than $60,000, and this year the Associate Members Committee is committed to raising $100,000.

Bob Duff, of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company in Newport Beach, Calif., who serves on the Associates BUILD-PAC subcommittee, made a $1,000 contribution and was the first associate member to contribute to this year’s campaign. His $1,000 contribution makes him eligible for the BUILD-PAC Gold Key Club.

The associates’ BUILD-PAC drive is the Associates Committee’s annual effort to raise funds to support NAHB’s legislative and advocacy efforts.

BUILD-PAC, NAHB’s federal political action committee, aims to raise a total of $4 million for the 2006 election cycle. BUILD-PAC raised $2 million in 2005 and has disbursed more than $1 million to members of Congress and candidates for federal office so far this election cycle.

For more information on BUILD-PAC, e-mail Denise Mills at NAHB, or call her at 800-368-5242 x8459.

Contributions or gifts to BUILD-PAC are not tax deductible. BUILD-PAC cannot accept corporate checks. Federal law requires political action committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200.
