Calendar Connects Members to NAHB Resources

NAHB members who are looking for access to the people and resources they need to succeed in the home building industry should take a month by month look at the 2006 “Connections” calendar that was mailed out to all 225,000 members of the association at the end of last year.
The calendar is a handy way to learn about the benefits of national membership in NAHB by accessing www.nahb.org.
Included in the calendar are instructions for new members to log in to the site and create a user name and password. Once logged in, members can also access www.nahb.org/form to update their member contact information. Doing this ensures that NAHB members will be in the loop to receive information on advocacy concerns, educational events, business tools and member benefit updates.
Each month on the calendar features a specific benefit of NAHB membership, along with Web site addresses where further resources can be found.
Included in the monthly rundown are: NAHB University of Housing courses and workshops; NAHB councils; BizTools for business-related documents, articles and resources; NAHB’s Annual Legislative Conference in Washington; 20 Clubs; www.builderbooks.com; codes and standards; associate member products and services; workforce training; political action; electronic newsletters, and more.
The calendar also provides a review of the association’s achievements last year on behalf of its membership, including the response to Hurricane Katrina; shaping the debate on reform of the Government Sponsored Enterprises to protect the flow of capital to housing; challenging a tax reform proposal that would eliminate the mortgage interest tax deduction, and more.
Log in to www.nahb.org/calendar to connect with NAHB’s vast amount of member-exclusive educational, advocacy and business-focused information.
