NAHB Programs on HGTV & DIY This Week

NAHB-produced television shows for consumers on HGTV and DIY:

"I Want That" on HGTV

Episode: "Party Accessories"

  Nov. 23, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
  Nov. 24, 12:30 a.m. ET/PT

Bring the feeling of the spa home with an outdoor canopy bed. Add color to your next cocktail party with a table that lights up and hors d'oeuvre plates that rest on top of your wine glass. And a new portable tool kit will get you out of a jam wherever you go.

"Dream Builders" on HGTV

Episode: "Riverfront Villa"

•  Nov. 26, 10:30 a.m. ET/PT

In this episode, see a Virginia villa that rises from the slopes along the Potomac river. Also, Southwestern architects use an innovative geometric toy to create remarkable zomes. Finally, see a shake test in California that sheds some light on building safe homes for rocky times.

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Slate Floor"

Nov. 22, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
Nov. 23, 1:30 a.m. ET/PT
Nov. 27, 9:00 a.m. ET/PT

Derek, Dean and slate expert Tom Nigro, from Capitol Tile and Marble in Rockville, Md., create a one-of-a-kind slate floor in a Washington metropolitan area home. They give insider tips on how to vary color schemes and tile sizes to create a finished project that transforms an old-fashioned project in a distinctly modern way. Dean and Derek go inside Tom's shop to find out what's selling, ways to vary the project and, most importantly, how to maintain a slate floor so it lasts for a hundred years.

"Assembly Required" on DIY

Episode: "Post and Beam (Part 2)"

Nov. 27, 2:00 p.m. ET/PT
Nov. 27, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
Nov. 27, 11:30 p.m. ET/PT

In the second of two episodes, a New England crew continues to struggle with inclement weather and a family pushes forward to build their post and beam home before ski season.
