Northeast Fall Symposium Set for This Week

The 50+ New England Housing Council will be hosting the third-annual Northeast Fall Symposium at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Nov. 9-10 in Mashantuket, Conn.

“Builders and developers don’t want to gamble on success,” said Jane O’Connor, chair of the 50+ New England Housing Council, a regional council affiliated with the NAHB 50+ Housing Council. “This symposium will deal strategies and insights that can help their 50+ housing project come out a winner.”

The symposium will feature national and regional experts on every facet of the active adult market — from planning and land acquisition to sell-out.

Speakers include marketing expert William E. Becker, of the William E. Becker Organization, a 2005 Icon of the 50+ Housing Industry; market researcher Margaret Wylde, of ProMatura Group, LLC,  author of “Boomers on the Horizon: Housing Preferences of the 55+ Market;” and Gary Snider, an award-winning architect in active adult design.

“The caliber of our speakers and panelists is one of the reasons New England’s building industry recognizes the 50+ New England Housing Council Symposium as the premier fall event,” O’Connor said.

The 2005 Northeast Fall Symposium is open to builders, developers and others throughout New England who are interested in learning more about age-qualified housing or other housing that would appeal to mature consumers.
