NAHB-Produced Shows on HGTV & DIY — This Week

"I Want That!" on HGTV

Episode: "Outdoor Entertaining in Style and Comfort"

  July 6, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
•  July 7, 12:30 a.m. ET/PT
  July 10, 1:00 p.m. ET/PT
•  July 10, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
•  July 11, 12:30 a.m. ET/PT

New products bring style, safety and comfort to outdoor events. A stainless-steel charcoal grill looks as good as it cooks. A new valve for gas grills can shut off in case of leaks. Evaporative coolers can make summer parties more comfortable. Whimsical designs for humidifiers fit perfectly in children's rooms. Watch television on your laptop or PC with a wireless router. Take satellite radio with you anywhere with a new handheld receiver. A collapsible cart takes the heavy lifting out of moving a table saw. Plus, temperature-sensitive paint gives a psychedelic touch to surfaces.

"Dream Builders" on HGTV

Episode: "Maurice Jenkins, Contemporary Country"

•  July 10, 9:30 a.m. ET/PT

A Maryland architect mixes residential and commercial design to create large spaces with signature style. See a New York home that's inspired by the American barn — but designed for 21st century living. Finally, see an Italianate villa in Nashville, Tenn. that was built by one of the richest women in 19th century America.

"Rock Solid" on DIY

Episode: "Stone Veneer Bar"

July 6, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
July 7, 12:00 a.m. ET/PT
July 10, 9:00 a.m. ET/PT

Using real stone veneer, Dean and Derek transform a plain bar island into a rustic seating area that adds interest and color to an otherwise boring area. The cousins shore the area with asphalt paper and metal lathe, demonstrate how to mix mud, then sort the stones to maximize ratio and color. Application of the veneer product is presented with mason tips along the way, including how to shape stone, control joint size and which tools to use for a professional final product.

"Assembly Required" on DIY

Episode: "Modular Homes"

July 7, 2:00 p.m. ET/PT

Catch an inside look at how modular homes come together and pick back up with the Papadopoulos family as they begin to build their prefab vineyard manor in this second of two episodes of "Assembly Required." Learn what happens after modular homes leave the factory on flatbed trucks and are delivered onsite. Meet the builders who piece the modules together and the home owners who watch as months of planning begin to take shape.
