IBS Headed for Las Vegas Eight Times Through 2020
NAHB signed a contract last week for the International Builders’ Show (IBS) to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center eight times over the next 15 years.
Averaging 105,000 attendees annually, the show is projected to have a $1.2 billion non-gaming economic impact on the city though 2020.
“We are firmly committed to Las Vegas,” said NAHB President Dave Wilson. “There is no question we are pleased with the level of service our attendees and exhibitors have received at the Las Vegas Convention Center over the past 27 years. Year after year, we have seen our attendance figures steadily increase due to the fact that our attendees and exhibitors value the show and the Las Vegas experience.”
Featuring 1,600 exhibitors displaying the latest in home building products over nearly 900,000 net square feet, the IBS is the world’s largest home building and light construction show, and is ranked the 15th largest tradeshow in the country on the Tradeshow Week 200.
IBS’ next show in Las Vegas will take place Jan. 20-23, 2009. The show will subsequently return to the city in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020.
The show will be in Orlando, Fla., in 2006 and Atlanta in 2007 and 2008.
