Awards Honor Best in Systems-Built Housing

Winners of the sixth annual Excellence in Marketing and Home Design Awards were announced last week by the Building Systems Councils (BSC) and NAHB during SHOWCASE 2004 in Austin, TX. The awards recognize the finest in marketing materials, model homes and residential construction in the concrete, log, modular and panelized home industries.

The marketing competition is open to BSC member manufacturers and vendors, and NAHB member builders whose marketing materials specifically target the systems-built housing industry. The design contest is open to BSC member manufacturers and any NAHB builder member who uses systems-built housing.

This year’s competition was the largest to date, with entries from 52 companies from across the country. Winning entries will be featured in the January/February issue of Building Systems Magazine.

“The size and scope of the systems-built housing industry was reflected in this year’s awards competition,” said Kimberly Friedgen of Bonded Builders Home Warranty and chairwoman of the BSC Sales & Marketing Committee, which oversees the awards program. “That this is our biggest year for entries and participating companies reflects the growth of concrete, log, modular and panelized homes across the country. The array of entries and winners also showcased the limitless design and state-of-the-art construction methods that are defining the modern building systems industry.”
