Professional Kitchen Designers and Students Eligible for Kitchen Ventilation Competition

In “The Best Kitchen Design Competition” for 2005, a total of $40,000 in cash, scholarships and travel will be awarded to professional kitchen designers and student kitchen designers who incorporate proper kitchen ventilation into their designs utilizing the Best® by Broan kitchen ventilation product line.

The awards are being sponsored by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and Broan-NuTone, which is a member of the National Council of the Housing Industry — the Supplier 100 of NAHB.

The deadline for contest submissions is Dec. 31, and grand prize winners will be announced in May in Las Vegas.

Professional kitchen designers and student designers are eligible to enter the competition.

Professional designer entrants must have installed a Best® by Broan kitchen ventilation product into either a newly constructed or remodeled kitchen between Jan. 1, 2003 and Nov. 30, 2004. Student entrants must submit a kitchen design that incorporates a Best® by Broan product.

The competition includes three categories: for wall-mounted ventilation, island/peninsula ventilation and custom design hood.

First, second and third place winners will be selected in each category, with cash awards of $1,000, $500 and $250, respectively. Selected from the first place winners, a Grand Prize Professional will win a trip for two to Rome, near the Best® by Broan manufacturing facility, and a Grand Prize Student will win a $10,000 scholarship.
