Women’s Council Names Bob Weiss Outstanding Executive Officer of the Year

The NAHB Women's Council named Bob Weiss, BIAE, the 2003 Women’s Council Outstanding Executive Officer of the Year for his support and commitment to his state Women’s Council. Weiss, the immediate past president of the Executive Officers Council, received the honor at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas last month.

Weiss is a current member and constant supporter of the Kentucky Women’s Council and encouraged its formation 10 years ago. Last year, he helped the council develop and secure financial support for an annual retreat for its local and state council leadership.

“Receiving this award was a total surprise and one that I will cherish,” said Weiss.

“I know how effective the Women’s Council members can be in the areas of fundraising, awarding scholarships and grassroots legislative support." Weiss said. " We work closely with the council in our state and many of my close friends are members. It was indeed an honor for those friends to place my name in nomination and a greater honor to win the award on behalf of all those members who work so hard to make our Women’s Council the success it is today.”

The Home Builders Association of Kentucky nominated Weiss for the recognition.
