There are more than 66 awards categories in all, including expanded categories for seniors multifamily and aging-in-place design.
In addition to design, projects will be judged on how well they solve challenges such as those related to marketability, budget, difficult sites and diverse programs.
The design awards also include separate categories for community center, common area, interior design, model merchandising and more.
Gold and silver awards are presented in each category.
Winners will be announced at an awards presentation and recognition luncheon at January's International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. Award-winning projects will be exhibited prominently at the NAHB show, displayed on the NAHB Web site and featured in the NAHB Seniors Housing Council’s quarterly industry magazine, Seniors’ Housing News.
