Square-Footage Standard Under Review
A standard by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) aimed at establishing uniformity in how the square footage of single-family dwellings in the United States is calculated and reported is being examined by the NAHB Research Center.
The Research Center is seeking comments on provisions of the American National Standard for Single Family Residential Buildings, Square Footage — Method of Calculating, ANSI Z765, that have been added or amended as a result of the first public review. The balance of the standard is not open for comment at this time.
